Hacker chanteert Belgacom
Een hacker heeft in de nacht van maandag op dinsdag tientallen gebruikersnamen en wachtwoorden van Belgacom-klanten op internet gepubliceerd. Als Belgacom niet ingaat op zijn eis om de datalimieten op te heffen, worden er de komende weken nog meer inloggegevens online gezet.
Dat meldt ZDnet vandaag.
De Hacker gebruikte de schuilnaam Vendetta in het forum ADSL-BC.org, de Franstalige tegenhanger van Userbase om zijn bericht te plaatsen. Dat bericht hebben de admins van ADSL-BC ondertussen al weer verwijderd. Het bericht zag er ongeveer zo uit:

Here’s list of Skynet ADSL Logins for you folks that like me came from the usa and are disgusted at the lack of bandwidth this shitty country with shitty ISPs has to offer us:

There’s an exploit on their BBOX2 (which is also present on the dommel routers btw) that allows any remote attackers to have any info they want from the router (Even if WAN access is disabled)
I’ll post the exploit if the quotas aren’t abolished by the 30th November 2009.
Be warned shitty ISPs, if you don’t want me to share the exploit along with over 285.000 ADSL logins just stop this shitty bandwidth capping :

Liever een ingreep van de Europese Commissie, maar voor mij zijn alle manieren goed om iets te doen aan de ridicule telecom situatie in België. Van onze eigen overheid hoeven we immers geen degelijke regulatie te verwachten want zij zijn zowel regulator als duopolist en de markt toont al 10 jaar dat ze liever duopolist willen spelen.
Eens zien of de Vlaamse media in gaan op de grond van de zaak of het enkel houden bij ‘stoute hacker meneer’ – ieder kwartier komt er wel een Belgacom/Telenet commercial voorbij op de TV, dus dit is een leuke integriteits-test van de verschillende nieuwszenders.
